Nigerian dictator Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian police to attack peaceful protesters in Abuja for daring to demand good governance, despite claims of celebrating independence.
Whilst exercising their rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly, protesters called for the resignation of dictator Buhari for failing to deliver good governance in the six years of the dictator’s repressive reign.
The protest comprised of two groups, #RevolutionNow and #BuhariMustGo protesters, and they were considerably peaceful whilst expressing their displeasure over dictator Buhari’s fascist reign.
Recall that renowned activist Omoyele Sowore had called on Nigerians to reject calls of the so-called independence day celebration and asked Nigerian citizens to demand good governance from the Buhari reign of woes and terror.
The Abuja protest remained peaceful until a team of policemen arrived the scene of the protest and violently dispersed the peaceful protesters, firing teargas canisters at the demonstrators despite their peaceful conduct.
This is happening despite claims by dictator Buhari that the country is celebrating independence. The concept of celebrating independence when citizens are not allowed to express their dissatisfaction about the government of the day remains an issue of concern.
