Dictator Buhari’s spokesman Garba Shehu announced earlier today, September 16, that former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode had joined the ruling All Progressives Congress [APC], releasing photos the former minister took with dictator Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
The news came as a shock to many who did not imagine his association with the repressive political organisation after having called out the party on several occasions in the harshest possible way.
On December 15, 2019, whilst reacting to speculations that he had joined the All Progressives Congress [APC], Fani-Kayode angrily took to Twitter, saying that he could not for any reason join what he termed “a bloodthirsty, blood-lusting, genocidal maniacs, ethnic cleansers, mass murderers, ethnic supremacists, religious bigots and an accursed political association of Boko Haramists.”

Also, during an interview with Channels Television’s Seun Okinbaloye, Fani-Kayode was asked if he would consider defecting to the APC, his answer was unequivocal:
“PDP is my party, I will never leave the party. That is out of the question. Until kingdom comes; until Jesus returns. That will never happen.
