Residents of Orsu Local Government Area in Imo State have been abandoning their homes in droves as men of the Nigerian Army invade their communities, indiscriminately killing residents.
An eyewitness who escaped with his family members disclosed that the soldiers are moving around the community, randomly arresting and killing people for no justifiable reason.
“The army has again invaded our community, killing Igbos. The whole world needs to know about this. A lot of people have abandoned the community in fear,” the escaped resident said.
Similar to the Lekki Massacre at the Tollgate on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, the escaped resident disclosed that the soldiers were loading corpses of victims in their trucks in their determination to conceal evidence of their heinous crimes against innocent people.
“They have been moving away corpses in trucks just so that these atrocities are concealed from the world,” another resident who also escaped from the community disclosed.
In February this year, controversial Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, popularly known in the state as the Supreme Court Governor, invited soldiers to attack people he claimed were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] and Eastern Security Network [ESN] in Orlu and Orsu.
Uzodinma’s government, controlled by dictator Buhari who resides in far away Abuja, claimed at the time that chasing away IPOB and ESN would ensure gunmen had no hiding place.
“Our government had to invite the military to flush away IPOB and their so-called ESN.
“We found out that IPOB had established a camp in Umutanze, Orlu and we sent in some policemen to dislodge them. But they attacked these policemen and even killed two of them. So we had no alternative but to bring in soldiers.
“After that, they hurriedly relocated to Udah in Orsu Local Government Area, another of their camp which is on a boundary between Imo and Anambra States. It is such a terrible place that no one can access it,” according to Cyprian Akolisa, Imo State Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.
Earlier this year, a concerned soldier sent an audio record to residents of Orlu, warning them to consider relocating or maintain a high-level vigilance as some soldiers had been given a shoot-on-sight order as part of their fight against members of IPOB and ESN.
Under dictator Buhari, Igbos of the South-East have been the major targets of Nigerian soldiers, whom they have killed in several dozens for no justifiable reason.
On June 25 this year, CitizensAlert reported how some suspected Fulani terrorists quietly invaded major cities in Imo State, including Owerri, the capital, claiming to be selling “dry meat”. However, when asked to eat their own meat, they bluntly refused, raising the suspicion that they may have poisoned the so-called “Dry Meat” as part of dictator Buhari’s war against the Igbos.
The incident compelled Federal Polytechnic Nekede to release an internal memo dated 23rd June, 2021, warning its students to desist from buying “Dry Meat” from these suspected group of people.
On May 29, 2021, CitizensAlert detailed how Nigerian soldiers invaded several cities in Imo State, attacking and even shooting innocent citizens on the streets. They also invaded Federal University of Technology, Owerri and Federal Polytechnic Nekede, attacking and killing students.
On May 30, 2021, CitizensAlert reported how Nigerian Police slapped a widow for challenging them. The widow, who managed a restaurant in Owerri, was with her son at the restaurant when police came and kidnapped her son in her presence for no reason whatsoever. When she challenged them, they responded by slapping the old woman and then disappeared with her son afterwards.
The woman later rushed to a nearby radio station with two witnesses where she narrated her ordeal.
This is happening at a time when the Buhari dictatorship is giving a VIP treatment to terrorists in Northern Nigeria despite maiming, raping and killing innocent people during the past 15 years!
