The Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba has approved the posting of new commissioners of police to 13 states including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This was contained in an announcement by Force spokesman Frank Mba who said that the posting was for greater efficiency and stabilisation of security across Nigeria.
The affected states are:
Jigawa State Command, Aliyu Sale Tafida; Kwara State Command, Emienbo Tuesday Assayamo; Benue State Command, Akingbola Olatunji; Kogi State Command, Arungwa Nwazue Udo; Taraba State Command, Abimbola Shokoya; Nasarawa State Command, Soyemi Musbau Adesina; Niger State Command, Monday Bala Kuryas; Cross River State Command, Alhassan Aminu; Kaduna State Command, Abdullahi Mudashiru; FCT Police Command, Babaji Sunday; Bayelsa State Command, Echeng Eworo Echeng; Enugu State Command, Abubakar Lawal, and Kebbi State Command, Musa Baba.
According to Frank Mba’s statement, the Inspector-General of Police charged the deployed officers to justify the confidence repose in them by ensuring security stability in the country.
He urged citizens in the mentioned states to cooperate with the new officers for optimum performance.
