Despite the illegal order by the fascist reign of Dictator Muhammadu Buhari in collaboration with the regime’s lackeys in Lagos State, Nigerians stormed the Lekki Tollgate today to peacefully protest against the planned re-opening of the facility where the Nigerian Government killed several innocent protesters on the evening of Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
The Lagos State Government, working in cahoots with the Central Government led by Dictator Buhari, had warned Nigerians against exercising their fundamental human rights, claiming that protests had been banned in the country. The regime then proceeded to deploy several armed police officers to frustrate any attempt by Nigerians to exercise their constitutional rights.
However, despite these threats and the heavy presence of armed police officers at the toll plaza, Nigerians disregarded the illegal order and proceeded with the protests as planned.
CitizensAlert had reported that the #OccupyTollGate protests had been provoked after the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry, set up to purportedly unmask individuals who instigated the Lekki Massacre, controversially ruled that the Lekki Tollgate, scene of the massacre, be re-opened for business, even when the panel has not fulfill its primary obligation for which it was set up.
Following the controversial ruling, a youth representative on the panel, Rinu Odua, withdrew from the panel in protest against the ruling, saying she’ll not be used for a cover up.
