Nigerian dictator Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company [AEDC]. Upon the suspension of the management, the tyrant approved an interim body to oversee the running of the company’s daily operations.
The latest move by the dictator is a reaction to the recent industrial action embarked upon by members of staff on Monday, November 6, over non-payment of allowances, salaries and arrears of pensions.
Abuja and other cities under Abuja Distribution Company were in blackout on Monday as members of staff pressed for their legitimate demands. But rather than resolving staff grievances, the tyrant reacted by suspending the management of the company.
Goddy Jedy Agba, dictator Buhari’s Minister of State for Power, announced the suspension in a statement.
The dictator has since directed Bureau of Public Enterprises to constitute another management team for AEDC.
