There have been protests in Northern Nigeria against dictator Buhari for refusing to put an end to the rising insecurity in the region.
The protests, which is being held under the hashtag: “#NorthIsBleeding,” has been going on on social media for some time since Boko Haram and other terrorist groups seized large swathes of land in Northern Nigeria with dictator Buhari looking the other way.
The terrorists recently intensified activities in the region, which included roasting over 42 passengers in Sokoto with dictator Buhari doing absolutely nothing about it, provoking widespread condemnation. The #NorthIsBleeding campaign re-emerged on social media last week, particularly by Northerners on Twitter, who insisted that dictator Buhari should resign over his inability to secure Northern Nigeria.
The demonstration, which is gradually spreading to different Northern states, held in Abuja today, Nigeria’s capital, and was led by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore who continues to call on dictator Buhari to resign over his catastrophic regime.
At the protest in Abuja, a banner displayed by the protesters read: “Northern Nigeria is bleeding, Buhari is sleeping.” Other placards had the following inscriptions: “Buhari doesn’t care about you,” “Buhai is a monster,” “How many have to die in the North before Buhari is asked to resign,” “Buhari’s incompetence is haram,” “stop killing leaders of tomorrow,” “Nigeria is also bleeding due to Buhari’s incompetence,” etc.
Dictator Buhari, in his characteristic fashion, deployed armed police and lawless Department of State Services [DSS] to attack the protesters for demanding an end to terrorism.
