The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has scheduled September 6, 2023 as the day it will deliver judgement in the three petitions challenging the questionable declaration of Bola Tinubu as “winner” of the 2023 presidential election.
This was confirmed by Umar Mohammed Bangari, Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal.
Bangari, whose court is keeping records of the Tribunal, said that everything has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free delivery of the judgement in the three petitions.
The judgement will be delivered on the petitions filed by the Labour Party [LP] Presidential candidate Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party [PDP] Abubakar Atiku as well as that of Allied People’s Movement [APC].
Bangari hinted that adequate security has been put in place and that only invited members of political parties and the general public will be permitted into the courtroom to avoid congestion and security breaches.
