Terrorists have attacked Kachiwe community in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, burning 10 people alive.
Not less than seven women were kidnapped by the terrorists during the attack, witnesses say.
James Jagaba, secretary of Munya Local Government Area confined the attack, which he described as “an ugly incident”.
He said the terrorists moved to another village referred to as Shapè and slaughtered nine people, leaving others with no alternative but to take to their heels.
“The terrorists set ablaze all the houses, killed 10 people by burning them alive. They also kidnapped 10 women. Whilst returning from where they committed these heinous crimes, they saw two people whose vehicle had broken down and who were trying to get it fixed. They stopped, killed the two people and burnt the vehicle. In the midst of these atrocities, three of the abducted women escaped, they went with the remaining seven.
“The entire community was wiped out by the terrorists, leaving no one behind. We got to know the details of how they carried out the attack from the women who were lucky to have escaped and are still in utter shock.”
It was gathered that the terrorists carried out these attacks without hindrance owing to the seizure of telecommunication signals in the affected communities.
