Dino Melaye, a former Nigerian Senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, has lambasted dictator Buhari for representing Nigeria at the Global Education Summit in the United Kingdom.
The former senator who took to his Twitter account where he publish a video, wondered what Buhari, an illiterate president, will be discussing in a summit where respected academics will be in attendance.
Melaye said that he had expected the dictator to send his deputy Professor Yemi Osinbajo to represent Nigeria at the summit.
“This is President Muhammadu Buhari who only has a school certificate. Unfortunately the certificate is even missing. We have not seen it and nobody has a copy of it. Yet he is going to a Global Education Summit where you have intellectually mobile academics, people with high education IQ.
“And Buhari will sit amidst these people to discuss what? I was even thinking that he would ask his deputy Yemi Osinbajo to represent Nigeria at the summit. Except Buhari is going there to be a deaf and dumb. Except he is going there to be an observer. I am imagining what Buhari will go and discuss where global intellectuals are going to be dissecting intellectualism. It is a shame Nigeria is not represented at the event because we have a president who is intellectually stagnant,” the former senator said.
CitizensAlert reported yesterday, July 27, that dictator Buhari had flown to the UK to attend the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025. CitizensAlert further reported that the event was meant to be held virtually as the world continues to fight COVID-19.
According to GPE, only Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta and UK’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson were expected to co-host the live event. Other leaders were meant to join online. Yet, Buhari jumped into an aeroplane under the pretext that he was going to attend a programme he was meant to join online!
